Michael Conroy, Director– TechOps and Martin Vogt, Manager RunOps from Rent-A-Center will be discussing how they used VMware vRealize Suite and Mobius Partners to streamline and automate data center operations for intelligent management across physical, virtual and cloud infrastructures with better performance and lower OpEx, application and infrastructure delivery automation to deploy and manage applications and IT services across private, public and hybrid infrastructures in just minutes with automated, agile provisioning and security controls native to infrastructure to transform how network and security policies are managed within the infrastructure, with virtualization that enables fine-grained security controls inside the data center.

VMware vRealize Suite and vCloud Air together with Mobius Partners’ consulting services helped Rent-A-Center design and deploy their hybrid cloud infrastructure. The solution leverages VMware vRealize Suite running on vSphere 6 and NSX 6.2 (for the first time by anyone, ever!) to automate the deployment and management of over 2500 virtual servers and their applications. The solution also leveraged VMware vCloud Air Virtual Private Cloud for extensibility between private and public cloud resources to speed the automated development and delivery of productions workloads and VMware vCloud Air Disaster Recovery as a Service to protect production workloads. Rent-A-Center’s IT department has been receiving many accolades for the successful completion of this project from their upper management and executives. This project was showcased at VMworld in front of 24,000 people!

Scott Bauer, IT Director from Cinemark will be discussing how they used Data Center Virtualization and Hybrid Cloud Extensibility to enable virtualization with hybrid cloud extensibility that reduces CapEx costs, while providing hardware choice, security and flexibility for compute, storage and networking and high availability and resilient infrastructure to help ensure application and IT service continuity with a resilient and easy-to-manage infrastructure for private, public and hybrid clouds, coupled with best-in-class automated disaster recovery.
